A joint article by the Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Professor I. Mammadzada and DPhil S. Dadashova "On Philosophy and Images of the Future" is published in the collection "The Era of Academician V. Stepin" edited by the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The book is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding philosopher, teacher, organizer of science, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, honorary professor of the Belarusian State University Vyacheslav Semenovich Stepin (1934-2018), the author of fundamental works in the field of philosophy and methodology of science, social philosophy, philosophy of culture and cultural studies. His conceptual ideas contributed to the structure of scientific theory and the scientific picture of the world itself, the post-non-classical methodology of complex self-developing systems and types of civilizational development.
The main theme of the work on V. S. Stepin is to analyze the legacy of this remarkable individual and trace the ways in which his ideas continue to evolve through the work of his contemporaries. The collection includes articles by scholars addressing a wide range of current issues in scientific knowledge, civilization, and cultural development that relate to Stepin’s work.
